Begin your adventure with a comfortable drive to Nallathanniya, the base of Adam’s Peak. Your air conditioned vehicle ensures a relaxed journey through picturesque landscapes as you approach your destination. Upon arrival at Nallathanniya, take a short break and prepare for your hike. You will be guided by your experienced, SLDTA approved driver to the starting point of the trail. At this hour, the peak is a serene and peaceful environment, ideal for beginning your ascent without the midday crowds.
The climb to Adam’s Peak starts under the night sky. The trail consists of around 5,500 steps, ascending steadily through lush forests and mist covered landscapes. While the climb can be challenging, the tranquility of the night and the anticipation of the sunrise at the summit make it a rewarding experience.
After a challenging but fulfilling climb, reach the summit of Adam’s Peak, just in time to witness the majestic sunrise. Watch as the first rays of light illuminate the surrounding valleys and mountains. Take in the panoramic views and the spiritual atmosphere of Sri Pada, one of the most sacred places in Sri Lanka, known for its footprint believed to be that of Lord Buddha.

Start your descent back to Nallathanniya, following the same path that you took earlier in the night. The hike down is quicker, allowing you to return to the base by mid morning.

The hike is suitable for children who are physically capable of walking for several hours. However, given the challenging nature of the climb, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider if you're considering taking children under the age of 10.
